Horadric Lutefisk Cubes are devices found in the dungeon. When right-clicked, they open a crafting window with only one square. Anything placed into the window becomes a Lutefisk, which makes tithing large amounts of lutefisk easier.
Attempting to transmute another Horadric Lutefisk Cube creates an explosion that is capable of killing early-game characters outright.

The Horadic Lutefisk Cube is a reference to Blizzard Entertainment's Diablo 2, in which the Horadric Cube was used to combine objects in order to (mostly) make stronger and better eqiupment/

The Cube can aslo be used as a source of infinite zorkmids. Use it to turn anything into zorkmids, (duh) then walk into a shop. Either buy or pick up an item (you can actually turn a shop's items into lutefisk without getting into trouble) so you have a shelf. Sell your stack of lutefisk, pick it up, put it into the cube again, and since the cube still turns it into lutefisk, it counts as a different set of lutefisk, and can be sold again. This glitch can be abused as many times as you're willing to do. When you wish to leave, just pick up any store-owned item and put it back on the shelves. Provided you don't have anything that is considered Brax's, he'll forget all about it and you can leave. Note: make sure that the lutefisk goes through the cube when you leave, just in case the game still thinks it's brax's.

I apologise. In the second sentance, I was trying to say "use it to turn anything into LUTEFISK". Sorry for any confusion. And you have to sell it onto one of Brax's shelves, so that you can pick it up again after.

For the record, You don't need two Lutefisk Cubes to make the explosion... you can (attempt to) transmute a cube into itself instead. Found this out the hard way.

Try putting the Lucky Pick in the Cube.

Lockpicks cant be divided anymore. Another good and free is to use spores if you have Fungal Arts. Spores are treated like lockpicks and cant be divided. Atleast for now.

I have found Softballs to be a good item to turn into lutefisk, and you can get alot of them from vending machines.

It's a good idea to carry around an extra cube in event of emergency. If all else fails, combine the two and hope you survive the blast because there's a good chance most early game monsters won't.
